Change & True Love

by David   Dec 19, 2006

In this great world that God blessed us with, did He have it all planned out?
In His time words were not hard to find.
Feelings were not felt without wonder.
And relationships were not had just to have.
As time evolved many of these great wonders of life were lost.
We now struggle to find the words.
And have feelings without any wonder as to why.
Relationships we have, just to have.
In His time Love was a blessing and not a feeling taken for granted.
Could He have known that in this time of life Love would be mistaken?

You might wonder what is mistaken in Love.
Could it be the simple things we don't see.
Is it the look that we share across the room,
Or the simple touch of our hands as we cross paths?
Can it be as simple as the words we speak every night.
I Love you baby, Sweet dreams, and I'll see you in mine!

I believe Love becomes routine over time.
We forget the little things we shared in the beginning.
The smiles we gave each other,
The tingle of our lips as they met,
And the simple pleasure of being together.

As everything in life, change is inevitable.
We now take the smiles for granted,
The kisses for what they are and not what they mean.
And the pleasure of being together as nothing at all.

For change is the one thing I regret the most.
If everyday could be lived as the beginning I believe we would still be together.
I would still have your hand to hold, in good times and bad.
Still be able to see the look from across the room.
Feel the tingle of your lips,
And have the simple greatest feeling of all, just being together.

In this great world that God blessed us with, did He have it all planned out?
I was skeptical at first, but now believe.
This Man of great wisdom and advice sacrificed so much for even more.
A sacrifice made for each and everyone of us.
To Love, and be Loved.
To believe and lead.
To see and not be blinded from simple facts of life.
And to share our life's with not only Him, but with our one true Love.
