Reflection

by tanya   Dec 18, 2006

I wake with the sunlight,
granted to live another day,
Press your palm against me,
feel the beating of a broken heart.
I taste the revenge,
sour in your heart,
consigned to your own world,
in perfect harmony.
Reflection,
a mirror that speaks the truth,
too bitter to look yourself in the eye,
yet for so long,
you judged the world around you.
Our final goodbye,
the world, a sanctuary,
the moon,our friend,
to be in their presence,
when only the weak cannot survive.
