Matching my tears

by sweetbutsad   Dec 18, 2006

She walks along the road
Thinking of that day
When everything went wrong
And her youth was taken away

Her heart melts with sorrow
She no longer feels alive
Even though it was long ago
She still feels she cant survive

No one knows what hurt her
And makes her want to cry
But maybe they would understand
If they saw the sadness in her eyes

She puts on her make-up everyday
And hides behind her mask
Every year that goes by
Is more and more a task

He took away her innocence
And tore her world apart
But what he didid realrealize
Was she was broken from the start

She really thought he loved her
Until that very day
When he and his friends raped her
And took her life away

She can no longer face the world
Even though years have passed by
But this day every year
She will have the right to cry

And as she sits all alone
In her room full of fears
The rain pours down her window
To match her face with tears.
