My Story....

I missed you so much when you weren't there, but I wanted you to hold me so much that night. We were always together, I told you everything.

It started like any normal day. We spent the whole day together laughing and joking. We went to the movies and had lunch at my favorite cafe in town. On our way home I told you how much I loved you and wanted to spend the rest of my life with you. Your smile quickly changed into fear and you pushed me away.

I fell to the ground. There was complete silence then a loud crashing noise. When I looked up I saw that you had been hit by a car and you where pinned up against a tree. I stood up and ran over to you. The car doors opened slowly.
Two people crawled out. I screamed to the girl who stumbled out of the passenger side seat to call an ambulance. I recognized Rhett the driver as he was my older brother Jacks friend. He fell to the ground in tears. I could smell the alcohol in his breath. It seemed like forever for the Ambos to arrive. I stood by you while they examined your body to see the full extent of your injuries. One of the officers pulled me aside and told me that the only thing keeping you alive was the car holding you against the tree and if they moved the car it you wouldn't live.

I tried to be strong for you. I didn't want you to know that you where going to die. We talked about all the things we wanted to do and places we wanted to see. You told me something that broke my heart. You managed to pull a ring out of your left pocket. I looked at it with shock, it was so beautiful. You told me that you loved me and couldn't imagine being with any one else, and that on that night you where going to propose to me. I began to cry and said yes. I kissed you. Your lips were cold against mine. I felt you breathe your last, long slow breath. Your body became motionless. You where gone. A tear rolled down my cheek. I was in shock. Some one grabbed me just before I fell down and held me tight. I felt the lump in my throat grow and found it hard to breathe.

The police asked me what had happened but all I could mutter was oh my god, hes gone. The policemen drove me home and helped me to the door. My mum called out to me and asked where is Sam I thought he was coming over?
She looked at me and saw my blood covered clothes. She ran over and hugged me. I began to cry again. She wouldn't let me go. I had constant flashbacks of the night of the accident in my head. Every time I closed my eyes I would see you.

Your funeral was the worst day of my life. Everyone who knew you was there. My heart went out to your mum who gave a very emotional speech. She was so distraught. Your little sister Kimmy was sitting in the corner by herself. You where really close to her, she loved you so much. The song ghost of you by My Chemical Romance was played as your best friends carried your coffin out of the room into the Hearst.
We walked behind the Hearst as it drove slowly through the grounds of the cemetery. It was the longest walk I have ever had to make, but it was worth it. We each put a rose on your coffin before there was a minutes silence in your Honor, and then they lowered you into the ground. I stayed behind after the service to say my last goodbye to you. I looked down at my left hand, on which I was wearing the ring you gave me on the night you died. I thought about Rhett and how much I hated him for doing this to you. It wasn't fair. I should have died with you.
