Resonant Echoes

by Kalgalath   Dec 19, 2006

As I speak to you,
You say naught
I wish this were not true
All I hear are my thoughts

Echoing back to me,
With nothing to say
I look into the sea,
You look the other way

Taking no heed,
To my boring eyes
That's why I bleed,
And begin to cry

More every day
Pouring from my heart
I begin to decay,
I'm being torn apart

Right in front of you
You seem to not care
There are only few,
That can even compare

To your splendour,
To your wonderment
Skin so tender,
Such beauty sent

Down from above
Down from the heavens
You showed the world love,
So much you have given

To all the stars,
All across the land
Reaching so far,
You give me your hand

To take and caress,
Until the lasting night
I had to confess,
That you were the starlight

That lights this blank page
That I am staring at
Not knowing what to write,
Except for this night

When I try to whisper
I try not to shout
All I hear are resonant echoes
Tearing my head inside out

That was really well written. I was looking at my favorites and wondering why I added those who did. When I read this poem I remembered why. Keep up your beautiful work.
