Dead Mans Walk

by Jason   Dec 21, 2006

Final moment drawing near
One more meal before the end
Priests prayers said to ease a sinful soul
Last steps of a retched life about to begin

What has caused this fate?
A mistakes built on the foundation of many
One more moment of blinded indifference
Lives ended without a moments thought

Victim of life's unsympathetic musings
Forced into a home of abuse and debauchery
Raised a slave by parental chastisement
Spurned by emotion when finally shown

Murder became a weapon against existence
Smiting those content with what is seen
Lashing out at what was never known
Collecting a debt paid in innocent blood

Now sitting in a darkened cell
Awaiting the stoke of midnight
Reflecting on time all but spent
Eagerly accepting the dead mans walk

beautifully expressed words - again, you have conveyed so much in such few words.

Definitely dark.... but sad too, for one who has suffered so in his life, then took it out on others and then be put to death, but yet to him death is the answer to his long time suffering......

An amazing write sweets, truly amazing. I give you 5 gold stars.

    Hugs and Love,
