God it's so hard,
Why did it end this way,
When it never had to,
Can we take it back,

And make it the way it's suppose to be,

I woke at dawn and watched the sun come up,
I need some time to breathe,
I need your arms around me,
Holding me close,

I loved it when you were so close,
I loved the way our hands fit so perfectly together,
I loved the way you smiled at me,
And the way I smiled back,
I loved every moment I had with you,

Now we're drifting,
And I'll never know what could've been,

I woke at dawn and watched the sun come up,
I put on my make up,

I force a smile on my face,
