Kiss Good-bye Away

by Raychel   Dec 24, 2006

Kiss me good-bye,
I'll whisper good-night.
I'm leaving from here,
My future doesn't look bright.

Wipe the tears away,
And I'll get rid of the blood,
As it trickles down from your lips,
The final beats of my heart are useless skips.

Butterfly kisses and bearhugs are gone,
We're only left to dance our last song.
I would never put a gun to my lover's head,
But you did that deed instead.

I once saw beauty in our bloody love,
But you tore it all apart.
So let's kiss our only good-bye away,
And leave my broken heart.

    I love this stanza:

Butterfly kisses and bearhugs are gone,
We're only left to dance our last song.
I would never put a gun to my lover's head,
But you did that deed instead.

The rhythm and rhyme were beautiful...and so was the meaning you wove into the poem. As usual you had a great ending as well...keep it up Ray ;)
