Change

by Christina McDowell   Dec 25, 2006

There are two things I am afraid of
Change and lost love

To not know what happened
To get yourself killed
With no hand to lend
And have no dreams fulfilled

To cry alone within
To die without someone by your side
With drops of tears on your skin
Without a clue that you died

Runaway from your fears
And find our lost love
Let go of you tears
And look at the heavens above

To distance yourself from others
And cry yourself to sleep
Because of your fear of getting hurt from another
You cry and moan and weep

Why can't things just stay the same?
Why must things change?
Life is such a painful game
Without a limit or a range

To not know what to do
And feel so sad and blue
Opportunities come with change
But everything becomes all rearranged...
