Promises

by Christina McDowell   Dec 26, 2006

You always make promises
But in the end, they're always compromises
You break them like glass
Just like the last

If you can't keep it
Don't make it
I get so disappointed
And disorientated

I hate it when you're flaky
It makes me feel so dreary
It really hurts me
You may not agree...

Will we ever see each other?
Or will it be never?
You keep bailing out
And it makes me doubt

It makes me lose trust
It makes me lose lust
I really care
It's not at all fair

I don't want you to move
What will I do?
Our relationship is already tough
It'll get really rough

The distance really sucks
I'm just really outta luck
How can love hurt so much?
I'm turning into klutz

It's really gettin' to my head
I'm feelin' so dead
I guess I just over think things...
