Blackout

by InMyWorld   Dec 27, 2006

I'm on an unfamiliar descent
To a high place, where a new face meets mine
And it's hard to tell if I've been here before
I feel the nerves, anticipation
Making me sick but happy
So much stands in the way
And in the end I could be mistaken

I think this is what falling up means
You have no control over where you're going
But you know its to a good place
Then again its still falling
And what goes up must come down

Watch the lights fade to
Blackout
We can try to figure ourselves out
Before the scene changes
And us with it, then life can resume
But I don't want to be an accident
Remember how it was and don't regret

I love your habit of being honest with yourself
So convince me too, for a temporary high
Then we'll crash, just crash
This happens when you don't recognize your weaknesses

Watch the lights fade to
Blackout
We can try to figure ourselves out
Before the scene changes
And us with it, then life can resume
But I don't want to be an accident
Remember how it was and don't forget
