Thank You?

by Paul   Dec 28, 2006

I'll say thank you for the pain, and for the sleepless nights,
For the love there never was, and the never-ending fights,
I'll thank you for shame, for the scars and the tears,
And these memories of betrayal that I'll carry through the years,
I'll thank you for the hate, and the anger you emposed,
The feelings I never knew I had, until you forced me to expose,

I'll congratulate you for breaking me, for tearing me apart,
Showing me what I wasn't worth, saying I was useless from the start,

So, thank you for this pain, for these memories of deciet,
I'll hold them close to my heart, and loathe them with every beat.

Great poem! Sounds like alot of frustration, anger, and sadness all in one. Good job!
