You feel that they're gentle at first meeting.
Respectable on the next.
Sweet after.
Then when they don't seem to get what they want,
They cool off and don't bother?
Why is that?
You give your best to acquaint with them,
And give time to appreciate them,
And still not enough.
Why is that?
You try to understand them,
And held them for comfort,
And still not enough.
Why is that?
You try being nice to inquire,
As to why they went aloof,
And they don't make an effort ,
To disclose why.
Why is that?
We feel hurt and upset,
But do they care?
How shall we know?
They don't interject,
To justify their reasoning,
If its even rational at all.
All we need is honesty,
Truthfulness, and courtesy.
Why they don't perceive that?
But what we can do?
Some men are just the way they are..
Inconsiderate, unappreciative,
Selfish, and lackadaisical...
Maybe they don't intend to hurt us,
But they still come along our path,
And it's our fault that we open the door,
And let them into our lives.
Maybe its our fault that we get too emotional,
And they don't accept the fact, that they are
Being taken care of and loved by us.
It is too much for them, I guess.
But what is too much, anyways?
Don't they want to be thought of?
Don't they want to be taken care of?
Don't they want to be loved?
Is it too cheesy, or
They feel like being smothered?
If so, all they have to do is confront us,
Not leave us behind and be distant.
Communication is part of the relationship.
It goes for friends and lovers.
That's where it started, anyways.
But we know how men are.
They have to stand in their grounds.
They don't accept their faults.
And show no remorse.
Life goes on.
And we have to deal with men
Every day with such likes...
