FOOLISH HEART

by BLUEROSES   Dec 29, 2006

I was lost in a path,
And trying to get back.
Straight through the light,
I cannot further my track.

I saw other trail,
Shall I go or not?
What does it,
In stored for me?

Still I am lost in the pathway,
Went to the footpath, I pick.
There I met a man.
A man of pleasure, he says.

How dare I convey,
To a stranger of lust?
Foolish heart of mine,
I say.

Invigorating pleasure,
I desire had fulfilled.
Yet my life is not sufficed,
With those moments inclined.

How could I let myself,
Be carried away to imprudence?
How could anyone take
Advantage of a foolish heart?

No time to stay for a retort,
Have to move on to another pathway.
Another lane, I will discover and grasp
More wits in life.
