This Moment

by Peter Williams   Dec 30, 2006

As I tossed and turned in my bed,
So many things rush through my head.
Like you and me,
And what we could be.

That ship sailed by,
And here I wonder why.
Is there a cure to this disease?
If you say yes, I'll say please.

The year passed us,
I only thought because,
You weren't there,
I doubt you care.

I fail to see what to do,
To make me come back to you.
I need some help from this life,
Please, oh please, don't use that knife.

A jaybird sings, a bluebird dies,
My heart still brings me sinful lies.
Take this rose and let it weep,
For the promises I never keep.

February, is just around the corner,
On the contrary, I should've warned her.
To be or not to be that is the rub,
Love is blind but go ahead join the club

For yesterday and today,
For all those blues and grays.
So full of sorrow,
But not for tomorrow.

Breathe a breath,
Die a death.
Live every moment savor none,
Because this moment has just begun.
