That was sad, but really well penned. i enjoyed it alot. too bad the contest that you wanted to put it in was for upbeat ones. this one wouldve done fabulously.

And a lot of people don't really keep their resolutions, I've never, actually..

Again brilliantly written. This poem makes the reader think about the choices that people make and how one step in one direction can change the flow of their life, in this case literally. The part about the people who didn't keep their resolutions is interesting because I don't know one person who has kept their New Year's Resolution. Anyway, I'll quit bantering and just say amazing poem. Keep up the good work.

This one is REALLY good...

Although this category isn't my favorite, you did a nice job at it, and funny thing is most people do not keep their New Years resolutions and you named the most popular ones. Nice job!

Wow. That was really good! & Very true, as well. Cos, as Rachel said: Most people don't keep their New Year's Resolution.. and smoking is deffinitley one of them & probably beating too. I love thisss! It was really sad, but amazingly penned. & Flowed amazingly. Awesome job. Keep it up, hun.
