Gray Sunday (When She's Gone)

by Unrequited   Dec 31, 2006

You can watch me fall
teardrops upon silk
you will melt in my eyes
as my heart continues to wilt
you will leave
and i'll be gone

gray Sunday
it's all over now
i don't want this
memories to be erased
my lips craving your taste
but it's lost
distant smiles will move on
carry on
into the skies of nothing true
empty, i bleed tears of blue-
neglected hearts hit the floor

i'll be gone
when you move on
as i sing
this mournful song
your heart keeps me breathing
your eyes kept me believing
but now you've gone
where i don't belong
within sorrow,
i reach the end

the bleeding...
the bleeding...
it won't be long

'til i'm gone

Genau man. I think you captured the feelings that unreturned or newly deceased love often creates. The lack of hope and self-perceived bleakness of the world. And most importantly it's easy to relate to. Good job.
