I can't think.
This mask muffles the sounds
of my brain,
suffocating through the darkness,
and writhing in my head.
They told me
that life is just one day after another.
"Go home, kid.
Get away from me, you freak!
You don't belong!"
I can't breathe.
This hate fills up my lungs
that expand and deflate
...
just like yours do,
but only to accumulate in madness
that you provide on a platter.
I can't feel.
This lie I live by,
this sick pact with existence,
it numbed me like the cold.
They told me
that life is worth the struggle.
"Give up.
You're not worth anything.
You don't matter!"
I don't understand
why fate finds fun in hating me,
...
Just like you do.

Unique and original in concept, and a very powerful piece.
I thought the last two lines were particularly powerful.
