The Definition Of Love (For a woman)

by Christina McDowell   Jan 2, 2007

I always get asked the question:
"What is love?"
I'm not sure but I'll caution
You might get hurt and fall from above

How does it feel?
Isn't it great?
Is it real?
Or is it fake?

Let me tell you of
Everything about this
The definition of love
It's nothing like you ever wished

The beginning is the best
Always truly happy
Thinking he's truly honest
Being real cute and sappy

Once you're in, you're bound
Pained and mad
Always hearing the sound
Of your own cry and being sad

Slowly breaking
After every cry
Can't handle and more taking
You fall and cry

He won't be there when you call
Or always be true
He won't catch your gruesome fall
And he'll stop saying "I love you"

He'll stop being really lovey
And won't call you anymore
He won't be stuffy
And eventually walk out the door

He'll say those painful words
"We need to talk"
You'll lose your world
Just take a swift walk

He'll say he needs space
He wants a break
Your heart starts to race
And you'll doubt your future fate

Even if you come back
It won't be the same
He'll just keep going back
Reminding you of the past pain

But that's just me
Being negative and dull
I wanna let go and fly free
Just be careful...
