Bane of My Existence

by TheRapture03   Jan 4, 2007

Once I thought they were my close friends
But those relationships came to bitter ends
I trusted her and I trusted him
I had two choices: sink or swim

I chose to drown
I chose to lay my heavy head back down
Hearing not but her sweet voice
I thought that would never be the choice

I didn't know those words exist
I've never found their meaning
The bane of my existence
Showed me love is ever changing

Feelings shift from day-to-day
Still you've never let me find a way
To escape from your memory's grasp
I can't stop thinking about our past

That's a memory I don't want to last
