Sorrow's Cry

by Paige Whalen   Jan 5, 2007

Crying upon the stone
As the days of old die away
And new ones are made
From the everlasting bone

All friendships end
Walking blindly from place to place
Always going around a bend
Always hiding my face

Night overshadows Day
What it will withhold
No one can say
And the brave are no longer bold

Crying over the cruelties of this world
As my life is no more
I walked to the sea and threw it into a wave that swirled
Numbing me to my core

Ripping my heart
Out of my chest
Watching me bleed to death
They watch me like a bloodthirsty shark

Ready to take the first bite
Should I die
My life is like a kite
Being battered by the winds in the sky

And as i weep
I think of things to come
I wait for the coming of sleep
But it will only end for some

And as I sink into oblivion
Memories of long ago
Come back in the end
The air has a soft glow
