A Mans Regret

by Cathy   Jan 5, 2007

He lays in his bed plotting his life
wondering if his choices made were ever right
was it right to leave the people who loved him most
was it worth it to give up and let everything go

His eyes water up because he now sees
the future he would of had if he would have stayed with she
The corruption from friends and the way he always hung out
Helped blind his sight and block the feelings he felt

Now he lays there thinking what could ever be worst
laying alone in bed being selfish and hurt
He picks himself up and dries the tear from his eyes
His pride is too much to let him cry

The wind outside blows he hears her voice say
I always loved you but you did not stay
her voice was so clear he knows he made a mistake
But it took too long to realize that and now its too late

she woke up and told him it was time for goodbye
she can no longer wait for him it kills her inside
Shes wasted her time after so many years
Living with a broken heart & shedding so many tears

She moved on with her life with someone knew
someone she fell in love with and who loves her to
Living with the regret of walking out on her that day
he sees another man live the life he threw away

Excellent story told from two very points of view. Regrets, and then looking forward. Its a very good piece the now and im sure it will be an amazing piece when its finished.
