Going to California

by Karrie   Jan 6, 2007

Pack my things, put them in the trunk.
Take one more look around, can't leave anything behind.
Hug and Kiss the family, I'm gonna miss them.

Going to California
I'm gonna spread my wings.
Going to California
I'm gonna find my way.

The butterflies in my stomach have me second guessing.
Do I have what it takes to stand up on my own.
Louisiana is my home, we have been though so much.
Will California understand and go easy on me?

Going to California
I'm gonna spread my wings.
Going to California
I'm gonna find my way.

There is a long road in front of me, some friends behind me.
I hope they don't forget me, I will never forget them.
Wave to everyone from my rear-view mirror.

Going to California
I'm gonna spread my wings.
Going to California
I'm gonna find my way.
