Our Love Grand

by Bill Turner   Jan 8, 2007

Limousines, glitz, glamour and excess, a fitting scene
Buzzers and bells, flashing lights, the roll of the dice
Surrounded by dirt, grime and the ugly urban tale
Contrasting with the white marble and golden hue
Of the lovers paradise created for me and you

It is funny that a love, simple and pure
Plays out against the backdrop of Vegas nights
The sounds of a passionate sax moaning with glee
As we stand under a holiday light show
Wondering if the others truly know...

For we brought our love to this desert oasis
To consummate our relationship in the eyes of the lord
While the king of rock n roll belted the sounds
That will forever be in my passionate heart
I do...the words that gave our marriage a start

The world stopped on a warm Christmas night
As we made love together, husband and wife
The warmth of our love guiding us true
Not just another day in this pagan land
A union of twin souls, a bonding of our love grand

Bill, I was wondering when this beautiful little gem was going to come.

For we brought our love to this desert oasis
To consummate our relationship in the eyes of the lord
While the king of rock n roll belted the sounds
That will forever be in my passionate heart
I do...the words that gave our marriage a start

Awww Bill this is such a beautiful stanza. Everytime I read I do it just makes my heart melt.

I someday hope to meet this wonderful lady that makes your heart shine with happiness.

Wonderfully penned from the heart, my friend.
