They say time heals all,
But in my case it makes it worse
a progressive disease that kills
the victim slowly
painfully
hurting all those who surround him
A father, a friend, a great guy
with a clouded mind
and a need so great
that nothing else seems important
all that matters
is the next buzz
the next boost
but then he falls
and needs another just to feel
normal
a vicious circle
that never ends
it worsens and worsens
all spiraling out of control
into the fires of hell
and the pain. so endearing,
never ending
leads him to insanity
just let go and let god
he tries and tries
he fights a battle
but never seems to win
the monster always returns
roaring up from the depths of a deep black sea
temptation and addiction is his name
