Fight Back or Rise Up

by APoeticLetdown   Jan 9, 2007

Revolution will come,
And it will pass you by.
You'll just stare it down,
With your reddened bloodshot eyes.
You will sleep through the day,
That we march through the street.
Where the only pain that we feel,
Is in our worn and tired feet.
While you are up all night,
We'll be smashing the state.
You'll hardly be alive,
But you'll always be awake.
We have fire in our hearts,
That burns with no mistaking.
But it's not the kind to warm you,
When you're trying to stop shaking.
Drug enduced sensation,
Is nothing but a lie,
And maybe you will see it,
When the world passes you by.

This poem is about Anarchy and Revolution and how to fight back against the machine, and how the second you let them get to you, you have lost the battle, and they have won.

Riveting! spurs the readers sense of wanting to take a stand and rebel. letting the animal inside them free to take charge, well that is how i felt. nice poem and love the word use :P
