Eternity ~Memory of lightwaves~ 20 July 2006

If I could take just one memory with me to eternity
It would be this really simple and short one of us having tea.
We both sat in the corner and for once in my life
I felt happy and everything just seemed to be so right.

The tea was shoddy and we had to use an awful non-dairy creamer
But you know, none of that even seemed to matter.
The tea tasted better than any other tea I have known.
Just because sitting there with you made it so.

If I could explain what I was feeling while I was sitting with you
It would be like a memory that I have already had with you.
As if it was a memory that we shared collectively
Maybe from our childhood when things used to be easy.

It makes me sad, to think the remembrance will never be
Another memory that we will be able to relive, you see?
But it makes me happy that we had it nonetheless
So I can look back and know that memory was one of the best.

I know it may seem small to you, but to me it was huge
You have no idea how happy I was to be sitting there with you
In the town I grew up in
At the little cafe near the Inn Marin.
