As we led our hearts to the pier
I lifted my head and drew in the salt-like air.
This brilliant glow gave the hallow world its shade of gold
Igniting on fire these stars of old.
As I held your hand I could see
A bright and beautiful future for all eternity.
I love touching your face so soft
It lets me forget about this very cold earth.
I glare down to see the cobble stone road so red
Of the soldiers who once fought here, long past dead.
We look to the horizon to see what lies further on
Our memories intertwining with the thoughts of the lost ones.
Dead fathers, dead brothers, and most of all dead lovers
Their anger and jealous grew and I knew
That their anger would turn to violence
And therefore end our quiet solace.
A strong gust of wind came and tosses me into the red sky.
Far across into the ocean I seemed to fly.
As I collide with the liquid pain I realize,
That this surely will become my demise.
You soar to rescue me, but I am too far
But please return back and just stay where you are.
Go on with life you will be with me eventually
I love you and I long to stay
But this is my final breath before I go away.
