FAIRIES

Be very quiet and you might catch a glimpse,
of the beautiful fairies in the forest they dance.
Mischievous little creatures full of magic and fun,
watch them dart in and out of flowers in the afternoon sun.

They zip and they flutter around the trees,
giggling and laughing each other they tease.
With glittering wings and shining eyes,
they sparkle in the night like fireflies.

These strange little creatures good and true,
are always around, always watching you.
They care, observe and protect the young ones,
right through the night till a new day dawns.

Through the day they are merry as they skip and dance,
with not a care in the world they happily prance.
There mission is important as your babes sleep at night,
to fill their head with sweet dreams so they don't wake in fright.

Little wings and cheeky wee smiles,
i like to sit and watch for a while.
They remind me that life can be fun,
if we take the time to play in the sun.
