Scar portrait

by misty   Jan 9, 2007

When I was a little girl
Life just didn't seem real,
Everything was fake,
Nothing seemed as it appeared,
I felt like life was over
Before it even began,
I remember telling my
Best friend about the
Scars on my wrists that bled,
And the scars on my shoulders
that wept, the lies that were said
found a spot on my body to
shed, nothing seemed real,
it was all pretend, all the
people that left was just another
cut that bled, no one really
understood why a 11 yr old
wished to be dead, everyone
gasped when they noticed
the marks on my hands,
no one ever stopped to
think why I did this to me,
the scars on my shoulders
begin to bleed, the red waterfalls
showed the lies that were told to me
no one saw the pain I see,
the scars are just the portrait
of the lies told to me.
