What a mans supposed to be

Whats a man supposed to be?
I am talking bout the inner me
If I should change myself
Change to the different shelf
To the publics opinion
To end up being one of their slaves, their minions.

So help me out
And give some advice
Whats all this about
Am I supposed to act 'not nice?'

Am I to hide my emotions?
Bite my lip when I should cry
When the pain is enough, to make me want to die

Act all strong and dumb
Work under the blazing sun
Not know my ABC
Be a completely different me?

Should I open up to you?
I hear them say, show me who?
Try and make you see
The scared, broken little me.

    Conform into the perfect little zombies with no mind of their own free to roam a society that is as dead as they are. Amazing. I loved the message behind this. You are quite an intellegent writer, with a passion, that is rarely seen anymore. the last of a dying breed so to speak. Again I have to give you a round of applase for such an excellent poem. 5/5
