The children sing

by .shake.   Jan 11, 2007

Ring a ring of roses
The children sing
So innocent and sweet
Entering the world, oblivious to what they’ll meet

A pocket full of roses
The children used to sing
To caught up in this brand new world of theirs
New money and love of which they share

A tissue a tissue
The children forget the words
Minds filled with drink, drugs and lies
No-ones there to hear their cries

They all fall down
The children are forgotten
Hopes and dreams failed
A story not surprising at all, in this world of ours
