Hidden Love

by Sonya   Mar 30, 2004

A simple tale
Of a love hidden neatly in a corner
For no one to find out
A tale of a love that couldn't happen
Not now and not ever

Quietly in class not a sound at all
Movie playing in the back round
She stares at the screen
Pretending to pay attention

But as he sits right next to her
She cant not see
His eye perfectly looking at her
Without blinking you just watched
Every movement she made
From her blink to her laugh

Its a habit, you said, too look at your eyes
I don't know if its your face or eyes but i cant stop looking at you
Those words ran threw her mind
Like a wheel on the bike turning round n round

You know you cringe when he held your hand
And said he'd never let go
How long did she wait
For that sweet moment to come
Just to let it past
Not even give it a second thought

For inside the girl knew
This cant be true, fro i don't even know you
No one would understand
How he makes her feel
Just the way his eyes are set upon her
Make her stomach turn

Not even a tear can help her now
For the love thats growing within each day
She hopes it'll just stay as it is
For it could never happen , no one would let it
She couldn't even let her self

For how was she to trust
A simple stare
She cant tell if all of its really there
But the feeling that is oh so new
Because that smile hasn't left her face
For a while now as she thinks

Happiness is a new emotion
And it all happens without commotion
So she continues to just stay quiet
Hidden in the corner

For a love that she has to her self
That no one needs to know about
Something she can hold in her hand
Keep in her heart
Remember with her mind
And feel with everything else
-imaginable-
