Gaze

He took me by the hand,
And gazed into my eyes.
Very soon my heart and soul,
Were full of loving sighs.

He wanted to show me something,
He said it would blow me away,
I only knew a little bit,
And knew there wasnt much to say.

We walked into the garden
And stared into the sky,
I hope this moment isnt a dream,
Or a very rude lie.

I looked into his eyes,
He had me under a spell,
If I took my eyes away,
I wouldnt feel so well.

We gazed at each other,
For a long time to come,
When I looked at the time,
I had to run.

My explination was short,
For he put his finger to my lips,
He kissed me on the cheek,
Thats something I would never miss.

He backed away slowly and nice,
I never wanted this moment to end,
I pulled him close to me,
This heart wanted to mend.

I moved towards him,
Gently kissed him on the lips,
He kissed me back and carefully
Put his hands on my hips.

He stopped and hugged me,
Oh so very tight.
I was afraid He wouldnt let me go,
Until the very next night.

We started dancing
To the musicless night.
In his embrace I cried and cried
What a loving sight.

He asked me why I was upset,
And i had this to say,
"Please dont let me go ,
I want this moment to stay."

We danced until the end of time,
Not caring where or when.
I would do anything,
To go through this moment again.
