A Single Red Rose

A single red rose.
The beauty is almost unbearable.
The crimson red colour of the petals represents such power.
Red is the colour if anger and hate.
Yet one single red rose looks so sweet.
If you've ever gotten one, you would know.
And even if you haven't, you can imagine the strength.
When you look more closely ant the rose though, you can see it really isn't so sweet.
The stem is not as soft as it looks.
Those thorns can catch you off guard.
You may end up getting hurt.
