Story of a Girl
By Sabrina Zezza

In a distant place, there once was a girl.
Sheâ??s just fifteen and has a sad story.
She wears torn clothes with eyes white as a pearl.
She waits for God to come and grant her glory.

It can be told by the look in her eyes.
Her family is sick and she has no food.
When you stand near her you can hear the cries.
Evâ??ryones sad, you can tell by the mood.

When you look â??round, the people clothes are torn.
All that they need is a rose that is red.
Her familyâ??s tired and their souls are worn.
At night the lies awake in her dirt bed.

She needs some food, just a peach and a plum.
At night she waits for her red rose to come.
