The Eyes of Sadness and Depression

by Sabrina   Jan 14, 2007

What do you see when you look into the eyes of sadness and depression?
I see a young girl.
she isn't smiling.
Her face isn't clean and she had flies in her eyes.
The camera is zoomed up on her face but what little clothes can be seen and ratty and torn.
Behind her, you can see her home.
A small shack covered in dirt.
This girl obviously come from a place less fortunate than anyone reading this.
When you look into those eyes, you can almost see her story.
Her mother works so hard to keep her and her sister alive.
They know all about death because children die of malnutrition every day where she lives.
Her brother died when he was just 3 days old.
She was 5 at the time.
As you stare into the face of that young girl, you can only begin to realize how much hurt is in the world today.
