The House Without A Heart

by Kalee   Jan 20, 2007

You stand so quiet in the cane field
With no glass in those old windows,
What were you meant to be?
Who was going to live there?
What went so wrong that no one finished you?
Now you stand alone in the field
With people driving past,
Wondering what happened to make you look so alone

**************************************

This poem is about a house called The House Without a Heart, that stands alone on the way to Townsville from Ingham.
No one has lived there for years and it stands unfinished and unloved.

I liked that one...although short, you got the point across, and that little memo you wrote at the bottom helped see the image more clearly..very nice. 5/5

Wow.. i love this poem.. if can be metaphorical as well as just about a house.. the flow is very nice.. and that fact that it doesnt rhyme adds a nice touch.. it helps your words get the foscus and not the rhyme... amazing job!
