And It's You I Want

by Bleeding.Desire   Jan 21, 2007

Butterflies flying in the sun,
crickets roaming and having fun.

Wanting him to see,
wanting it to be.

Nothing but a fairytale,
and spoken words that cannot fail.

He's torn between yes and no,
leave it alone and go with the flow.

In the heat he shears his sheep,
in a crowded heap.

That's where I see him go.

One last time to hold his hand,
one last time to touch the sand.

To kiss his lips so tender and warm,
but instead I just watch the bees in their swarm.

He makes me feel beautiful with just his touch,
I want to be in his arms so much.

All my life I waited for someone like him to come along,
but he went away and left without so much as a song.

Days go by and I watch my baby with the clippers,
he'll come back as fast as a dolphins flippers.

So I'll wait for him all night and day,
and soon my baby will see he is mine to stay.
