I'm Trying

I'm trying not to love you
And I'm trying not to care
But everytime I turn to my side
I know you won't be there

I'm trying to forget you
And I'm trying to move on
I loved you more than life
But you're already gone

I'm trying to make it through
And I'm trying to face the pain
I'll work hard to go on with my life
And hope my heart won't break again

I'm trying to remember you left
And I'm trying to love someone else
But I know you were the first one
To take my lonely heart off the shelf

I'm trying to get you out of my head
But I think forever you will stay
Cos like I said before with you
These feeling don't just go away

(The last part of the last stanza was from another one of my poems about my ex. I decided to bring back something that I said about him in an earlier poem into a break up poem about him.)

    Sweetie, this poem was lovely. I know how you feel, as you know (haha). But there are so many more guys who I bet would love to be with you and would make you so much happier. You'll get through this and you'll realize that you deserved better all along.
