Forever she promised, forever she gave [best poem yet]

by Liarr   Jan 23, 2007

She can feel her heart breaking
As she continues shaking
She can't take this anymore

Her eyes fade to black
Her heart turns to stone

She died that day he took his own life
She swore she would never love again
They were betrothed, husband and wife.

He was her air, her sun, her moon, her sky
Yet her love wasn't enough to keep him alive
She didn't understand what she did, nor why

She could feel his ghost whisper into her ear
"Baby please don't cry, I'm still here"
She saw him looking back at her every time she looked in the mirror

He abandoned her
Left her alone
She tried to be angry
Never seemed to work
She never could get over him

So she filled up the tub
rose the temperature until she couldn't no more
She laid in the burning water and drained her like away
Blood stained porcelain
As she got dizzy
She was joining her love one again

Forever she promised
Forever she gave
