Smog

by Gracie Danielle   Jan 23, 2007

I breathe it in,
A busy city street
Diamond raindrops
shatter at my feet.
It isn't real,
Sad, but true.
The pavement-
a crystal ocean blue
Snowy street lights
Glisten.
Silent screaming, gunshot.
Listen.
One unicorn horn
One drop of blood.
White cobra sunset.
Crimson rose bud.
Magical honking.
Splitting the nation
A shining silver
stream of acceleration.
The Sapphire winds
fast forward the clock.
Rushing oxygen
A ruby crosswalk.
Breathing it in,
and letting it go.
Gathering rain
and melting snow.
The smell of burnt rubber
turns to grandmas perfume
A costume party
with one costume
Splitting me open
with amethyst stars
No one inside
selfish cars.
Shaking with fear
unable to run
As i smash into to a pearl
and burst with the sun.
