Alone

by Drew McHill   Jan 23, 2007

Morning wept at the sight of me
no one cared who i ought to be
shadows reigned the path i stroll
darkness simpered as i fall
the light cowered upon the rim
trailing marks in courses so dim
in time, i found the bright i seek
i pity my body, grown so meek
alas, perceived the falling snow
concealling the doors of my woe
