Born To Be Alone.

by Lillye   Jan 24, 2007

Okay, this poem means alot to me. so please comment and rate it, i will return.

We find we spend half our lives,
Searching for someone as to not be alone
We give everything to one person
And often our hearts get left behind
But we are born alone.
We enter this world not clutching ones hand
That is something, a person can never truly understand.
We walk our paths, far as they are
Alone.
And by the end, we find
There is no-one there waiting
We were created to leave this world as one
A single fractured heart
So as we must accept I suppose
We were born to be apart.

I can really relate to this. your words speak the truth. this was beautiful. a wonderful flow also.

We give everything to one person
And often our hearts get left behind

when i read those two lines i agreed right away. we often leave our hearts to our first love. but we don't seem to realize it right away. it's a sad thing, yet beautiful in a sense also. i loved this poem. job well done. 5/5.

I cam relate to this so much, I can't explain! I always think I'm going to get a special friend who will care about me and someone I can care for, but in the end I always fail! It's like I'm cursed to be alone forever! You express this in ways I never could! 5/5
