StoRM SistER

by Moon Princess   Jan 25, 2007

She's just sitting on her bed,
in the middle of the night,
waiting for the depression to leave her alone,
so then she'll feel alright.

Looking into the pitch black,
she can feel it's ugly head,
make her feel so worthless and un-loved,
and re-state every mean thing you've said.

Standing up she walks into the darkness,
until she is out in her backyard,
the rains falls heavy upon her shoulders,
and she knows she pulled the un-lucky card.

But this rain soothes her torment,
the lightning sounds so sweet,
and with a razor across her wrist,
she releases her body heat.

Floating through the thunder clouds,
until she is just but ice,
the storm has released her before,
the ambulance will have now been called twice.

Now she is here with us,
sleeping on the rain,
our sweet, dear, storm sister,
has forgotton all her pain.

That was a really painfully awesome poem. The emotions, the words... I loved it!
