Sing His Song

I face the world with a smile
No one knows whats hidden inside
They only see happiness
They can't see the tears I've cried

When I'm alone I hurt
Because there I do it well
In front of watchful eyes
My heaven turns to hell

They judge and jury await me
Everyone has a say
My life hangs suspended
For yet another day

Who are they to judge me
That what I did was wrong
In the end I gave him up
But inside I still sing his song

If only I could find the strength
That I thought I had
If only I could play it tough
It wouldn't be so bad

They say life goes on
And I will smile again
But how could they know my pain
With out being where I've been

I saw him today
He smiled just the same
He looked at me briefly
But did not speak my name

I wonder if he remembers me
It hasn't been that long
In the end I gave him up
But inside I still sing his song
