For the first time in a year

I could see they promise of forever

Those months we spent apart
Those months filled with hatred
They are gone

That corny line you whispered in my ear
The first day we met
Slips from your lips
Bringing that same smile to my face

As I laid on my bed staring at the ceiling

You "accidentally"
Fell on to the bed next to me

Rested your head on my chest
And whispered
