Stories of...

by Anthony Newsome   Jan 27, 2007

Jaded, Faded, Twisted,
We're gifted.

Broken, bleeding, screaming,
Stop dreaming.

This is the story of our lives.

Mistreated, Misunderstood, Mistaken,
"Will we be missed when we're taken?"

This is the story of our minds.

See them all, but what does it really mean?
A figment or reality.
It doesn't matter, they just want to be seen.

This is my story.

Hold on for dear life.
Hoping I won't be pushed away again.
Pull through every stride.
Hoping I won't be led astray again.

Screaming at the top of my lungs,
This is all I've got, and I'm not letting go.
In all this world that shuns,
you chose me anyway.

Now for yours, I can't really say.
You've had it rough, you've had enough.
But maybe we'll prolong that fateful day?
