Dear Soul

by Allis MT   Jan 27, 2007

Dear Soul,

I don't care what I'm taught in school,
I know you are there.

You tell me when I slip,
When I know what I do is wrong.

You always tell me to do or do not.

I'm sorry for shutting you up,
when I am around others
Because I know that
You know who I truly am when I change

But I hate the guilt
when you tell me to be true
and I lie to myself
and say I am something else.
