The Strongest Mother I know

by Queen of the Damned   Jan 29, 2007

I never thought,
I would see you here,
Lying in a Hospital bed,
And see a single tear,
Trying not to show me your fear.

I never thought,
This could happen to you,
I never thought,
I would see this in you,
I never thought this could be true.

You are my Mother,
The one,
The strongest of all,
and it hurts me to see you fall,
This is too hard to explain,
Are united pain.

A part of me,
Ripped out of my heart,
Into a Hospital bed,
Where there's death and sickness in history,
I hope to God that that won't be your misery.

I am your Daughter,
Flesh of your flesh,
Blood of your blood,
Soul of your soul,
The only Daughter you know.

You will survive,
I can feel it in my heart,
Because that's the most honest place,
and where there lyes your face, and mine,
Stuck together on a grape vine.

Appericate life,
That is the key,
The most important thing you always taught me,
and to see you smile as I leave and tell you,
I love you.

I love you,
Are the words no one can ever take from me,
You are my mother,
and love is what keeps us going,
and keeps are blood flowing.

I love you,
You are the strongest I know,
Because you will never let me go,
This just a poem,
That I want to share to you mom,
That I will always be there,
To show you I care.
